Agreement
These terms apply to the Long Haul Compliance website at longhaulcompliance.com and to DOT Compliance Check, the free ChatGPT app by Long Haul Compliance. Together these are the "Services." Using the Services means you agree to these terms. Long Haul Compliance is in Seymour, Tennessee.
Paid help from Long Haul Compliance is separate. You are never required to buy it to use the free check.
Information only, not legal advice
The Services are information only. They are not legal advice. DOT Compliance Check is a summary of public records. You are responsible for your own filings and for checking anything that affects your business.
Public data
DOT Compliance Check reads FMCSA public records through FMCSA's QCMobile API. It does not file anything, does not access FMCSA accounts or the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, and is not legal advice. FMCSA's public data can lag recent filings by a few days. BOC-3, UCR registration, and Clearinghouse queries are not in FMCSA's public data feed, so the app reminds you to confirm them separately.
Acceptable use
Use the Services to read this website and to check public carrier records. Do not interfere with the site or the app, or use them to harm someone else.
No warranties
The Services are provided as available. Public records can be incomplete or behind. We do not guarantee that a check is complete, current, or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
For the free Services, Long Haul Compliance's total liability to you is limited to $100.
Third parties
ChatGPT is operated by OpenAI. Carrier records come from FMCSA. The New Entrant Starter Kit checkout is on Stripe. Those services have their own terms. A link from the app to this website does not change these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting the new version on this page and changing the "Last updated" date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
