Columbus, GA trucking compliance

Chattahoochee Valley carriers need a real Georgia place of business before the state will base IFTA here.

Call (865) 269-9311

Columbus and the Chattahoochee Valley feed military, manufacturing, and cross-border freight into Alabama and the rest of Georgia. If you want Georgia as your IFTA base state, the Department of Revenue is clear: you need an established place of business in Georgia. That means a physical location you own or lease, open and staffed during regular hours. A mail drop without a working office doesn't clear the bar.

We're a Tennessee compliance desk in Seymour. No Columbus office. Call (865) 269-9311 and we work your Georgia filings remotely: Tax Center IFTA returns, IRP timing tied to your business or owner name initial, MCS-150, UCR, and Form 2290.

West Georgia's listed MCCD inspection station is Region 5 in Troup County at LaGrange, on the I-85 corridor north of Columbus. Carriers running toward Atlanta see it. Credential and weight checks there are the same story as anywhere else in the state: active authority, current decals, and a USDOT record that matches the truck.

Valley fleets often hire seasonally. Part 382 random testing still applies to every CDL driver in a commercial motor vehicle, including the ones who only run short local hops or cross into Alabama for the day. We get them in the pool, keep selection records, and file the fuel tax quarter so you're not rebuilding mileage the night before the due date.

One desk in Seymour. Columbus carriers get phone and email filing support, not a portal with a ticket number.
